PLACES IN AUSTRALIA MENTIONED IN RECORDS
The following towns are mentioned in the records that I have researched. They include the locations of where the diggers joined and where they came from originally. If you are from any of these towns, I'd like to know if the local war memorial has the record of the particular digger recorded, either on the local monument or in local records. If you you would like to know the name of the soldier, drop me a line!
Unfortunately I have not found any Torres Strait Islander servicemen in my research into War World War diggers, my research still has heaps to go and hopefully I'll find a few fellas from up around TI in the nominal roll (and hopefully not in the honour roll).
