Learn to Manage Your Finances: Numerous investment alternatives are discussed in a this financial planning course to be held Sept. 27 from 5-9:30 p.m. and Sept. 28  from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Keene State College, Keene, NH. Topics include money management, tax planning, risk management and insurance investment planning. Elizabeth Brown, an associate professor of management as KSC, teaches this one-credit weekend course. Visiting Day — Master’s Program in Environmental Studies: A day of special activities for individuals who wish to learn more about Master’s Program in Environmental Studies. Hospice: Training program for people wanting to join this effort. The 27-hour training program runs Sept. 24-Nov. 19. Sessions will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the Unitarian Church, Washington St., Keene, NH. Training offered free of charge, but pre-registration required. Special Education in NHWhat are the Rules?: The NH Rules for the Education with Children with Disabilities formerly called the NH Standards for the Education of Students with Disabilities, were recently changed. The new Rules went into effect on Jul. 1, 2001. This training session will include an overview of the special education process, with an emphasis on how the changes will affect children with disabilities, parents and educators in NH. Each participant will be given the Parent Information Center’s free guide, Steps in the NH. Held Oct. 2 from 9:30 a.m.-noon and Oct. 5 from 9:30 a.m.-noon, Concord, NH.
