VT Civil War Expo: Children’s events, talks, artillery & cavalry drill, firing demonstration, music by the 12th NH Regiment Serenade Band. Presentations of uniforms & equipment by soldiers and sailors. US Sanitary Commission on site, Mr. Lincoln in attendance, torch light march at 6:30 p.m. to ceremony at Civil War Monument & back for bonfire and concert. Hosted by the 18th VT. Book & Bake Sale: The Fiske Free Library's Book and Bake Sale begins at 9 a.m. at the Claremont Conference Center, which is located between the Fire Station and the Library on Broad Street. Hundreds of books, videos and CDs will be on sale inside the building, while baked goods will be sold under a tent on
the front lawn.
