Poetry Contest for High School Students: Ten poems will be selected from all poems in each contest to compete at the national level. Story Fest: The Story Fest, also sponsored by the Friends of the Fiske Free Library, will take place in the Sarah Gilmore Room of the library, with storytellers scheduled hourly between 10:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Beginning at 10:30 a.m. the tellers are Cynthia Payne-Meyer, Putney, VT; Nelson LeMay, Manchester, NH; Tom Burack, Hopkinton, NH; and Debra Ballou, Dover, NH.

Drop-in Barn Tours with Art Cady(All ages): Come to our “Big Read Barns” and meet our friendly Belgian horses and cows during our special weekend Drop-in Barn Tours. During your visit learn about the work that the draft horses do on the farm and see how milk is made from grass by our Holstein cows. Oct. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 & 27, from 4-5 p.m. Free.
