Tues., October 1

Twilight Wanderings — Mt. Olga: Hike the abandoned Mountain ski trail to the Mt. Olga tower in Marlboro, VT with Frank Dearborn. Climb the tower for an outstanding view of the valley and mountains beyond. This is a moderate 3/4-mile hike each way. Meet at the parking lot of Skyline Restaurant, Rte. 9. Walking Tours: The Claremont Historical Society will offer guided walking tours of the downtown area throughout the Festival.  Departure times are 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m. from in front of the City Hall clock tower. Tours will focus on the history of the buildings on Tremont Square, Broad Street and Pleasant Street.

Twilight Wanderings — Chesterfield Gorge: Jeff Nugent leads this varied walk through a pine forest beside a small stream to a waterfall. This well-maintained public trail has a few ups and downs but is not truly strenuous. Meet in the Gorge parking area in Chesterfield, NH. Make sure to bring sturdy shoes!
