THE IMPORTANCE OF SEEKING TRUTH

If truth is the most important thing to you in your quest to know the Father, then you should find some of the links here interesting. There is no doubt that the Bible contains all truth. And as long as you stick to the Bible, you shouldn't go off track. There are a few people who have decided that the truth is whatever their pastor or priest says. It makes is very easy for them, because they don't have to put any work into finding out for themselves what the truth is. How sad for them. Mark 12:28-31
This is the place where Jesus explains to one of the scribes, which is the first commandment. He said "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord." And, of course, we all know that the second is that you should love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus said there was no other commandment greater than these. But remember, there were two of them. And the first was that our God is one.
Further, in Luke 18:18-19, a certain ruler asked Jesus, saying, "Good master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? And Jesus said to him, Why callest thou me good? None is good, except one, that is God." So Jesus did not think himself good. Perhaps it's time we meditate and pray for the Father to help us understand what was going on here. Couple that with Bible study, and we can find out the real meaning behind what Jesus was trying to tell that man, AND US. Jesus is the only begotten son of The Mighty One. He is the Word that became flesh. He died for every little hidden sin you and I have ever committed in secret. He died on a stake for mankind. He was resurrected and put on that glorified body that is our very own inheritance when he returns for us. That is what it means when Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:20 "But now is Christ risen from the dead and become the first fruits of them that slept." Christ is the first fruit. When we get our own glorified bodies, it will be as Christ's own glorified body. I can't speak for anybody else, but the thrill of actually knowing that some day, I can put off this fleshly body and get a new one, well, I'm overwhelmed with love and gratitude. Thank you, Father!
