 So you want to know about me?
Well... I'm a single 31 year-old, Spirit-filled Christian.
I'm 6'5" with brown hair and hazel eyes.
I like computers and the Web (of course) and enjoy spending time with
my family and friends. And, yes, I love church.
But, not just any church.... only the churches that allow the Holy Spirit to fully work in them.
Why? Well, simply for the reason that, although I grew up in church
and Christianity, my life has changed more in the past year than it has
in my whole life.
I have been attending a non-denominational church called Rock of Life here in Emporia, Kansas. I now know that this is where God has been leading me. I know thorough my entire being that this is where I am called and I'm not leaving until I know that He is the one that is leading me elsewhere.
We are doing many awesome things in our church... we have a large teen center (our entire third floor), FireStarters, that is growing weekly. The teen center includes two half-court basketball courts, a gameroom, an arcade, a coffee/snackbar/cafe, The Rock Shop and an awesome teen sanctuary with a professional lighting and sound system, special effects, flames painted on the walls and not to forget to mention, an awesome teen praise and worship band, The Pyromaniacs. During the winter, we have most of our services up there.
Recently, we have started a college outreach ministry to provide a place of fellowship and ministry to the college age group. In case there is anyone in the area reading this, I will provide more information at the bottom of the page.
Our church is committed to loving each other and is most definitely a family. That is an awesome thing, when you are from elsewhere and have no family around... I love each person there and know that they have become my extended family... Pastor Alex and Pastor Mike are wonderful. Praise God for them listening to the Holy Spirit.
