3 Simple Words

Another heart's been broke today
So a wall of brick before it lays.
A single word, action or dead,
A hammer now won't let it bleed.

You can not enter here at all,
You haven't the strength, for you are small.
One layer of brick I swear I'll move,
Just 3 simple words, I Love You.

My wall will not crumble, this I do know,
It's built with sorrow and pain don't you know.
One layer of brick falls before you feet,
Just 3 simple words, a wall can't compete.

Now wait just a moment you can't do this,
My wall will protect me from moments like this.
One layer of brick fly's high in the sky,
Just 3 simple words light up your eyes.

I will not surrender I will not give in,
My wall traps my heart no love can get in.
One layer of brick shatters all around,
Just 3 simple words towards you are bound.

If I close my eyes and brace my heart,
My brick wall will not, can not fall apart.
The last layer of brick has disappeared,
Just 3 simple words made it invisible dear.

A warmth passes through me, a light now
Does shine, A love fills my heart to last
