Beijing
China has a history of at least 5,000 years. Ruled by dynasties until 1912 when the country became the Republic of China. It wasn't until 1949 that the country was proclaimed, by Mao Zedong, the Peoples Republic of China. Beijing, once known as Peking, is the capital and known to the chinese as the "Promised Land". This is where I stayed while I was in China. Beijings climate is best in the Autumn, however I was there in the Winter. It was very cold and we wore layers upon layers of clothing and still got a mild case of frost bite. Despite the cold, I found it beautiful. If you ever have a chance to visit, then I would definately go. There's allways been an air of mystery to China and it's people due to the country being closed to foreigners for so long. For this reason, I want to share the beauty and history that I experienced in my travels there. I use all my own personal pictures that I took while in China, so please excuse my photographic quality.
