We are a three pet family: two cats and one dog. We used to have a hermit crab with a very sweet tooth (or would that be claw?) but he went to that big beach in the sky.

I think the most unusual pet I ever had was a mini-seahorse that I had when I taught first grade. It was a pregnant male. (Yes, you read right...the male carries the babies) Anyway, he was so cute and even cuter were those four little bucking broncos that were born. All the kids loved them! Then, one day, the "Science Specialist" came to our school. He was SO knowledgable that he needed to adjust the salt content of our tank. Well, he got his decimals confused and ended up MELTING ALL OF OUR SEAHORSES!!! And what was worse was the 24 crying 5 and 6 year olds that I had to try to calm. (I truly believe that if school were over right then, he might've had tire tracks up his back!!!)
Anyway, now I stick to simple pets...you know, one dog two cats...

This is Bear. He is a Samoyed. He'll be four this October. What I find remarkable about him is his unfailing good humor, positive outlook on life, and lack of self-pride! (He'd be happy to sit and lick your feet if you'd want) Also, he hasn't a clue that cats ARE smaller than dogs...

On the other hand...B-man KNOWS that dogs aren't as bright as cats and can cause a 70lbs. dog to freeze in his tracks just by placing a white. fuzzy ear between his teeth! But every day is a new day as they take their stroll around the backyard together.

This is O.T. She doesn't like living with us and often moves next door where there are NO other pets. She's 13 yrs. and probably been in a bad mood for most of them!
