Sydne's Place | |||||||||||||||||
| This is about me and all the things I do | |||||||||||||||||

Hi, I'm Sydne. No, wait, that's Sydney. There's no relation. But that is how I get people to remember my name. It works pretty well, once people meet me, they rarely forget.
| Critters I hang out with | |||||||||||||||||
|
This is Morningstar and Moose. Moose is the dog. Robert and I rescue Great Danes. Moose is a successfully relocated dane. To see other dogs we have for adoption click on the link below for Dane Chasers. We also operate a riding school for physically and emotionally challenged riders. To learn more about Green Acres Farm and riding programs for the disabled, click on the link below. Oh, by the way, the most important critters I hang out with are my two children. They are a never ending source of pride and bewilderment! TEEN-AGERS.... God help us!
| Education | |||||||||||||||||
|
Education is the key to everything good in life. Don't ever let anyone tell you different. We can tell you from experience that getting ahead without a college degree is a serious uphill battle. Robert and I both waited until we were in our 30's to go to college, so we have experienced life both ways. I got a degree in Biology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1996, and am working on a Master's degree now at Alabama A&M. Robert is a senior at A&M, getting his degree in Agribusiness. A word of advice to all you kids (sorry, young adults) out there: Don't wait to get your degree like we did.......Playing catch-up is just too hard. But without it, you will have to fight every step of the way.
