It was a pretty simple 2-day affair which all kicked off on Tuesday the 22nd of September and ended on Thursday of the same week. Two teams unfortunately pulled out at the last minute, but members from the remaining teams could not wait to play…well…both because they WANTED to play and because they wanted to head home early too! Team names which cropped up ranged from the faculty-proud like 'Sci-Sis' and 'The Sci-Tu' while the rest preferred (ehem!) to put their creativity to use with names such as 'Aesthetic Compulsion' from Arts 3 mainly, 'The Divas' which was dominated by Arts 1 tactical minders, 'Penitik Sejarah' made up by the future Muslimah engineers (insya Allah!) (such a name due to the prominence of a first engin team ever) and 'Berkorban Apa Saja' consisting mainly of the Arts honours year sisters…so was it a case of brains AND brawn? Hmmm….

  The games went on well, fair and square, Alhamdulillah…absence of over-zealousness which was feared, may cause over-competition.

  Throughout the championship, it was rather obvious that the Science sisters dominated the rankings with their goals and points and they deservedly won the top two placings at the end (with 'The Sci-Tu' as champs) while 'Berkorban Apa Saja' headed by our energetic ex-vice president came in second runner-up.

While attendance was rather poor on Thursday on the part of spectators and team members (such that members had to be 'borrowed' from other teams! ;p ) partly due to rain and partly due to individual commitments, it was heartening to note that those present showed great sportsmanship, which is what the championship was all about…to create ukhuwah out of the sportsmanship displayed by every Muslimah participating.

So to the winners…a deep CONGRATULATIONS while to the other three teams…do NOT despair…the championship will have its round again next year insya Allah!
