This page is dedicated
in loving memory to "THE WORLD'S GREATEST DOBERMAN".
"RUSTY"
(to see more photos

Russell,
whom we nicknamed "RUSTY", came into our lives in April 1990.
I was working
at our local Veterinary
Clinic, when a family called in saying they no longer wanted their
dog. I immediately
called Pete and asked him to come into the Clinic. It was certainly
a
case of "love
at first sight". She jumped right into our truck and put her head
on Pete's
shoulder as they
drove off towards her new home. "RUSTY" was everything you
could ever
hope to have in
a pet. She was wonderful with the kids and the most conscientious
guard
dog one could
ever hope to have. Sadly, we lost our special family member in March
1997.
"RUSTY"
will always be missed. She gave us all so much and left us with many
memories.
Fond memories
that we will carry with us forever. She was one in a million.
We are fortunate
enough that we have been able to give many animals a home over the years.
Everyone, special
in their own way. Now, we would like to introduce you to our present
menagerie.
I can't imagine not being surrounded by or tripping over one of my little
pals.
We
have two cats, two dogs, two horses and two ponies. Here they are
in no particular order.
"POKEY"
POKEY
is a very small dog, with a big attitude. She has been with us since
1988. She was so
small, she fit
perfectly in the palm of my hand. POKE is a miniature poodle/dachshund
cross.
This is one "little
girl" who is not afraid of anything.
"RUFUS"
Meet RUFUS.
He is a rather large dog who is a doberman/husky cross. He is
a wonderful
fellow.
He is our oldest daughters first sled dog. RUFUS was bred
for sprint racing. Now, he
pretty much just
lies around lapping up all the attention he can get. He has been
a member of
our family since
1993.
"CALI
& SPOOKY"
This pretty little
gal is our cat CALI. She has such pretty markings. We got
her and
her sister SPOOKY
a few years ago. They are so much fun. CALI likes things
her way and
we are happy to
oblige, it is the only way to keep her quiet. She is the most vocal
cat I
have ever encountered.
CALI is always ready to share her problems and concerns.
Here she is, our
little "scaredy cat". SPOOKY got her name by being frightened
of every
little thing.
She seems to think that every movement should be considered a threat.
SPOOK
is just going
to have to learn to relax. I'm sure many of you can relate to that.
"THE HORSES"
Now it is time
to meet our horses. It is just a short walk out to the pasture.
C'mon they
are waiting at
the gate looking for carrots and apples. You don't want to keep them
waiting.
Unfortunately,
we have no good photos of MISSY so we
will have to do
something about that soon!!!
In the meantime,
here are NASRULLA'S DESTINY, DARLIN' DAKOTA and PATCHES.
I will
have a horse as
long as I live and am able to take proper care of it. Actually, that
goes
for any "critter"
that may cross my path...
