Dolores May Mulnix ref: Rebecca Watson Walker 4/98 My dad and mom were very happy together. They did a lot of travelling, enjoyed entertaining, that type of thing. He being over 6' tall to mom's 5' they referred to each other as Mutt and Jeff, but were great dancing partners and terrific parents. Dad has since remarried; a nice lady who is very good to him, makes sure he only eats what's good for him, etc etc. He loves it and hates it! He is retired from the insurance industry (which seems to run in our family). Mom was a key punch operator, working with computers way back when they were the odd thing not the norm. ---------------------------------------------- ref: Rebecca Watson Walker 4/98 Some kind of dispute with Dolores and families didn't speak much. I don't have the foggiest what it was all about, but occurred between mom and Lois. They didn't speak to each other for years. So sad, and such a waste of time and emotions. =================== ref: Rebecca Watson Walker- letter to Jerry Mulnix My mother passed away back in the early 80's. She started out with cancer, which she was able to totally beat. (although the doctors originally told us otherwise). During her course of treatments they also learned she had only 7% use of her kidneys - this due to years of taking Emporin (sp) for her migraines. Long story short, she passed away due to complications from surgery, which came about due to everything else. She was one neat lady, very much missed. In her family, ( dad, mother, sister, her) all had a form of cancer. On my dad's side, I've noticed it's all been heart related or hypertension (guess that's heart related). So, like you, I hope that in knowing the medical history of our ancestors, we can hopefully help our children and future generations by having that knowledge and using it to best advantage...and with hope, stop the cycle. Sorry to hear that you and yours have diabetes. I know little about that, other than my dad as "acquired" it with his getting older. |
