COL David Nelson

COL Nelson was born in 1967, and raised in Richmond VA, a fourth-generation career Army officer. After graduation from West Point, he was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assualt). As a young 2LT, he earned a Silver Star in Iraq during the 101st's assualt on the Republican Guard. He rose quickly through the ranks, through both his family connections and his own drive and determination. In 2005, he was one of the youngest Colonels in the US Army when he took command of the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Inf Div. His units fought bravely during the constant battles with the Soviets, and during the long retreat, but the 2nd Inf Div was badly mauled. COL Nelson and the 2nd ID are currently based at Camp Lewis, dealing with the threat of the Aryan Fatherland. He is married and has two children.
