COL Samuel Meyers

Col Meyers was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, the youngest of 4 children. His father, Isaac Meyers, had been liberated by the American Army from the infamous Nazi concentration camp, Dachau. Isaac emigrated to the US after the war, where he met and married Rachael Weisz, a woman 15 years his junior. Samuel grew up hearing from his father how much he loved his new homeland, and how American soldiers had saved his life. Samuel Meyers graduated City College in 1978, applied to OCS, and was accepted as an Infantry Officer candidate. After completion, he was assigned to the recently reactivated 7th Infantry Division (Light) at Ft. Ord, CA. He spent the next 25 years moving from post to post, seeing action in Panama and Desert Storm. In 2003, he assumed command of the 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division.

He commanded the 25th Inf Div from the infamous Nuclear attack on 4 July 2005, to the assault on the Soviets in Canada, and through the long retreat back across the Columbia River. He is unmarried.
