1LT James Courtney

1LT James Courtney was born and raised in Port Arthur, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University as an Agronomy major, with plans of eventually taking over his grandparents farm. In his senior year, the farm was foreclosed, and after graduation, he returned home, taking a job at one of the many oil refineries in Port Arthur. After a few months, he took a long look at the oil towers, and walked into the Army recruiting office. After completeing OCS, he was stationed at Ft. Lewis, Washington, as a young Infantry 2LT. He is a survivor of the long retreat back to Oregon, where he picked up the AK-47, his preferred weapon. He is more comfortable in the company of the enlisted men, rarely spending time with his fellow officers. He is usually easy-going, but in combat often gets caught up in the moment, attacking the enemy personally, instead of calling the shots from the rear. He is well liked by the troops under his command.
