Brian Genealogy
The Brian, Roe, Rogillio, and Tull family histories were compiled by Lucille Brian Shepherd. Lucille corresponded with and received from literally hundreds of their descendants standard genealogical forms recording information on their families which has been reproduced here. The gathering and compiling of the material was over a period of many years, from 1957 till her death on February 9, 1985. A great many people contributed information to her, and she managed to assemble the material so that others could enjoy their legacy. Since this is a family history written especially for the descendants to enjoy and read, footnote references, bibliographies, and other scholarly apparatus have been all but omitted. Readers may take a certain amount of erudition for granted. It was her wish that descendants would have access to her material, and it is with deep appreciation that it is presented here. Lucille was a very special woman who devoted a great deal of time to her family both immediate and distant, and it is my hope that she would have approved of this method of presentation. A great deal of gratitude is due her for all the work she did.
