My name is Mark and I am an Adult Child of Alcoholism, which means that, through no fault of my own, I was brought up in an abusive environment. I have found that, myself included, Adult Children avoid recovery since it requires us to talk and feel and hope; all contrary to our childhood lessons. We prefer our comfortable misery to a risky leap at happiness, what if we miss? Luckily the recovery process is much safer than we think and we only miss if we choose to. It is my hope to make that clear here.

And as we join hands, we find love and understanding beyond our wildest dreams.
