Welcome To The Kerby Page!

We're Bill, Michele and Elizabeth Kerby, and we're glad you came! Our little family began when we were introduced on internet chat. Here is our story, told from Michele's point of view: I was an only child. My parents were older and in poor health so I continued living with them into adulthood.I dated but I was seldom serious about the guy; each seemed less suitable than the last. After my parents passed away my co-workers urged me to get a computer so I would have a kind of social life on the internet.By this time I was nearly ready to give up dating. At 36 years of age I thought I would be alone forever. But on an impulse I purchased an inexpensive used Dell computer and soon was spending my evenings and days off on internet chat. On the evening after Thanksgiving an aquaintance named Tophat asked me how I was feeling.I wrote that I was very lonely. He had a girlfriend, he said, but he knew a really great guy who was lonely too.His name was Dozer.Would I like to meet him?I hesitated for a moment.I'd heard all the stories about terrible things happening to women who fell in love with men they knew only through the internet. That's true, I thought, but what do I have to lose?So I said yes, introduce us.So he did. Dozer and I hit it off immediately.Every day we sent each other e-mail.We spent hours talking on the computer and over the phone. That part was a little expensive because he lived in Nevada, Texas and I in Oklahoma City.I felt as though I had known Bill (his real name) all my life.It seemed so strange.Could this be the right one?He decided to take some vacation time to come up to Oklahoma City and visit me. As the time grew closer I started becoming nervous.I had to laugh at myself. Here was the old lady being tittery over meeting a man! Finally the evening came.I met him at the motel where he was staying and we went out to dinner.

Later he told me that the first moment he saw me he knew I was the one for him.Being the always-cautious one it took me a little longer; by the third day I knew it was right. This was the man I loved and would love forever. When he returned to Texas I simply left my life behind me and went with him.Within a month we were married. It was the first time I've ever done anything in haste but it was the smartest thing I've ever done.It just keeps getting better and better! Last February 14 we were blessed with Elizabeth Ann.She brings us endless joy.God has been so very good to us!I made her a page for her very own; you can see her picture
