10. Johannes Battenfeld (Bottenfield)
Johannes imigrated to America with his wife, two sons, and three daughters in the 18th century from Michalebach Germany ( District of Heildelberg). They sailed of the ship Two Brothers, captained by Thomas Arnt.
They arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Aug. 28, 1750.Records of the Two Brothers register and other documents show several spellings of the family name, Battenfeld, Battenfel, Bottenfeld, Battefeldt, Battefelt, Bathenfeld, Battfeld, Batenfeld, Battesteld, Bottomfield, Bottenfell, Battenfield, Battenfelt. The most common spelling was Battenfeld.
