The Goals of the Liebenshund Breeding Program:

One: To produce properly structured, good looking German Shepherds.

Two:  To produce German Shepherds with proper temperament,  i.e.:  The ability to fit well into both family life and working situations.

Three:  To produce German Shepherds with good hips and elbows.

Our program uses only German blood lines which are necessary in order to produce the combination of good looks, strong working drive and stable temperament.  All of our dogs are involved in Schutzhund, either currently possessing Schutzhund Titles or in the process of achieving them.   My 8 year old daughter can play with any of my adult dogs. That is Good Stable Temperament .

 German bloodline dogs are based on work:

1]  In Germany if both parents cannot achieve a working title, the puppies cannot be registered

2]  In Germany all German Shepherds are tattooed, so you cannot substitute one for another.

 This is why German bloodline German Shepherd Dogs will produce sound working  temperament. 


We choose our breeding stock very carefully, selecting dogs whose ancestors have proven themselves to be the best of the breed.
The Bundessieger Prufung is the German Schutzhund 3 National Championship.  In 1992,  the following dogs had offspring representing them:

7]Enno Antrefftal -6 dogs - {Canto's great grandfather}

8]Drigon Fuhmhoff -6 dogs - {Canto's mother is a half sister to Drigon}

9] Bernd Lierburg -6 dogs - {Canto is line bred (5-5) on Bernd}

10] Harro Lechrenstadt -5 dogs.

11] Ingo Rudigen -4 dogs

When you look at my dogs' pedigrees you will find at least one, if not more, of these dogs in every dog I Breed.You will also find that all of my breed stock has been Hip Certified .  All of my dogs have earned a Canine Good Citizen Award along with Schutzhund & A.K.C. working and show titles.
