There once was a man named Ed, he was walking through the forest one day when he met a man named Benny walking on the same path. Benny claimed that he knew everyone. Ed seriously doubted this and bet $20.00 that Benny did not know baseball player Wade Boggs.

Well Ed and Benny went to Boston. They came across Wade Boggs house where they were greeted with open arms. Ed was impressed, but not satisfied. Ed bet $1000 that Benny did not know the President of the United States.

Benny and Ed went to the White House where the President invited them to have dinner with him. Ed was astonished. Ed still doubtful bet $1,000,000 that Benny did not know the Pope.

Benny and Ed went to a speech the Pope was giving to 100,000 people. Benny walked up and sat beside the Pope. Just as Benny and the Pope shook hands, Benny noticed Ed faint. Benny rushed over to Ed and woke Ed up with smelling-salt.

"What happened Ed ????", Benny asked.

Ed replied " I was shocked when you knew Wade Boggs, surprised when you knew the President, but when that guy tapped me on the shoulder and asked, 'Who is that guy beside Benny?' ...."
