The Plan of Salvation
Do you know jesus?
does jesus know you?
What's it all about?
God created man for a specific purpose - to fellowship with God.  Since man sinned in the garden, the beautiful fellowship that we once had with God has been broken, and sin has separated us from our Creator.  Because of the fall of man, we are all born in sin and have a natural tendency to sin.  All humans have sinned, with exception to Jesus, who was tempted but was without fault.  Human life was created for a companionship with God.  The human body was originally perfect in all ways, but due to our sin, we are no longer perfect before God.

So why am I here, then?
You're here for the same purpose every human in existence is - to glorify God, and to spread the gospel to all nations.  You see, in our natural state of existence, we are faulty and cannot approach God.  EVERYONE is bound for Hell, a place of eternal torments, unless we are brought to God through Jesus.  And that's exactly what this document is for - to introduce you to Christ.

Is Hell real?  What exactly is it, then?
Hell is a terrible place originally created for Lucifer, who tried to overthrow God in Heaven long before the existence of man.  Hell is an eternally burning fire several times hotter than any source of heat ever on the earth.  Hell is a bottomless pit, and is severely dark and smokey.  The fires burn forever but never consume.  Hell is the second death, and all who refuse Jesus will go there.

Who goes to Hell?
All humans are destined for Hell when they reach the age of accountability (the age at which we know right from wrong, and are held accountable for our choices).  No specific sin sends us straight to Hell, so don't worry about that.  Only folks who don't know Jesus as personal Lord and Saviour will go to Hell.

So how do I escape Hell, then?
This is the long one - but it's really simple, if you just think about it.  Nearly 2000 years ago, Jesus came to earth in a human body just like we have (only without sin).  He was born of a virgin named Mary.  At about the age of 33, Jesus was tried, convicted, and sentenced to death by crucifixion (death upon a cross) for crimes that He had not done (He was truly fault-less).  Jesus was beaten beyond recognition.  He was spat upon, rejected, and mocked.  Nails were forced through His hands and His feet to hold Him to the cross.  When they slammed the cross into upward position, the flesh ripped apart around the nails.  They cast lots (gambled) for His clothes - they had stripped Him naked for all to see.  A spear was cast into His side.  Jesus could have avoided all this agony (more pain than any man has ever known, nor ever will know) by getting Himself down from that tree.  But He chose to stay there.  You see, in the old days (before Christ in human flesh), the people were to sacrifice perfect animals to atone for their sins.  But Jesus, being perfect, became the supreme sacrifice, taking all of our sins upon Him.  He died in our place.

But three days after He died, Jesus arose!  You see, Mary went to the tomb to annoint His body with spices, and on the way wondered how she would move the huge stone that blocked the entrance.  When she got there, the stone was moved, and Jesus was gone!  Jesus had arose, and soon she saw Him.  Because Jesus arose from the dead, He defeated death, Hell, and the grave.  This made a way for us to escape Hell and the second death.  Although we all must face death and the grave, we can now live forevermore and never have to worry about death or Hell again!

Because of all of this, there is now a way to escape Hell.  All we have to do is to believe and trust in Jesus.  Jesus said that whoever comes to Him in faith believing shall be saved.  Whoever - that means anyone can be saved!  Trusting Jesus is the only way to Heaven, so if you have not done so, please keep reading this.

If you would like to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, to escape the eternal torment of Hell, and to have an everlasting home in Heaven to live with Jesus, please pray the following prayer:

Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I am sorry for all the things that I have done.  I know that right now I am on my way to Hell, and I don't want that to happen.  Please forgive me from all of these sins - wash me whiter than snow, Lord.  Help me turn away from these sins.  I truly believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that He died on the cross to save all of man.  Now I'm asking you to save me from my sins, dear Lord, so that I may have a home in Heaven with you.  Thank you Lord for saving me, now use me in your service.  In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

If you just prayed that prayer, and was truly sincere in your heart, you are now saved!!!  You see, there are no strings attached.  It's a free gift of God brought to anyone who will accept it.  You've now got an address in Heaven!  Don't be surprised if you didn't see some huge lightning bolt or something extravagent when you prayed that prayer, because God doesn't work that way.  He speaks to us in a still small voice.

Now that you have been saved, be sure to visit "The Heavenly Highway" daily.  There, you'll [soon] be able to check out the Christian Walk section, which will help you in your daily life as a Christian.

So now what?
You're saved from Hell!  You'll never have to fear death again, because when you die, you will go to Heaven.  You'll be there with Jesus forever and ever!  And now, you are a new creature with a new destiny.  Tell somebody what Jesus did for you!!  Share the good news, so that others won't have to suffer Hell either!  It's totally free!!!
