Electronic Design Automation: Performance Engineering
Decribes package and PCB design. Demonstrated the ability to quickly learn new software and authoring tools in a new product space.

Electronic Design Automation: Logic and Verification
Describes gate-level and register transfer level systems design. Demonstrated the ability to manage over 2000 pages of information.

Operating system software: System Monitoring and Diagnostics Manual
Describes a real-time monitoring, diagnostic, and correction tool that assists system managers in improving OpenVMS system and VMScluster performance and availability. Demonstrated technical abilities and information organization skills. Reduced the page count by nearly 50%, saving production costs.

Software: Online Documentation for Backup Management
Describes a tool for performing common backup operations. The documentation is 100% online, which demonstrates thoroughness of content in the subject.

Describes a CASE tool for regression testing. Demonstrated excellence in writing, organization of information, and completeness of information.

Provides concise command information. Demonstrated skills for organizing and presenting concise information.

Software: Screen Capture User's Guide and Installation Guide
Describes a screen capture utility that also has rudimentary graphics editing and image file conversion capabilities. Demonstrated capability to work on multiple projects, the creation of graphic examples, and comprehensive understanding of the product.

Operating System: System Utilities Documentation Guide
Master index for the operating system documentation set. Demonstrated skills for coordinating, organizing, and presenting concise information in an easy-to-use format.

Audience: all users of the VS operating system.

Operating System: Command Line Dictionary
Describes the commands, qualifiers, and keywords of the command line interface. Demonstrated the ability to manage complex books, to provide different (audience information from the same set of source files, and the ability to write about a diverse number of commands.

I also wrote an automated build procedure, which demonstrates my technical ability to reduce complex processes, and create maintainable projects.

Policy: Guidelines for Creating Online Help
Describes the requirements and guidelines for creating, reviewing, and addressing issues for online help. Demonstrated my ability to set policy.

Audience: technical writers and editors.

API: Windows System Management Manual
Describes the programming interface to DECwindows Motif. Demonstrated my ability to understand and document technical concepts.

Audience: DECwindows programmers.

API: System Set-up file
Defines the windows environments for nodes on a cluster in an initialization template file. Demonstrated my technical skills with lower level user environment information.

Audience: cluster or single system managers.

API: Mark-up Language Tag Designer's Guide
Describes how to create mark-up language tags. Demonstrated my technical ability to understand and describe lower level programming concepts, abstract conceptualization (through flow charting, and technical ability to create examples.

API: Programmer's Guide to 3-D Graphics
Describes a programmer's hierarchical interactive graphics system, a library of functions that enables the creation of three-dimensional graphic images. Demonstrated my abstract conceptualization through picture descriptions, and my ability to create the graphic figures for the documentation. Also demonstrates my ability to come to a project and produce quality documentation very quickly.
