Weekend update, June 21-23

Friday night's softball game was a wash for the Home team. The
rain threatened but held off for the downpour of runs that the
other team had against us.  We started off with a cocky 5 runs
in the top of the first, but the other team rotated their line
up twice in the bottom of the first after which we struggled to
end the game on time for the next game to play.  The score was
a lot to a little.  I don't really care.  It is nice to win, but
it is nicer to be with a nice bunch of nice people.

Saturday, I finally changed the oil in both cars.  Not too shabby
for a techno-geek.  Then there was church stuff for the young-uns;
(that'd be Emily and Andrew). On Saturday evening, Joy and I went
over to Eric and Rene' Pape's house to play some games with some
young adults.  (Make no comment.)

Sunday, we reintegrated with the choir.  Jessica went over to a
Junior High cookout.  David and Charlotte Landry, their son, and Junior,
came over to MPC for a visit. (!)  Sunday evening was the children's
musical at church and we had fun.  After church we went to Eric and
Linda Magnuson's for Pizza.

I'm back to work where I can rest (but not sleep).

This Saturday, we have a bunch of us heading up north to the Basin.

Update on Joy: she is having pretty bad pains, though not constant.
She called the doctor last week to inform her of her "progress" but
all they told her was that they wanted to go the full three months
on the Pill unless the pain got to be unbearable.  Well, Joy bears
up well most of the time and as long as the pain subsides, she
endures it.  I'm madder than a wet hen at these doctors and about
to find another soon.

Update on the house: Our contract with our realtor expires at the
end of this week and he'll be getting a letter of non-renewal due
to non-performance.  We could have fired him, too, but didn't.
We looked at a house that Joy really liked, but I think I told
you all that last week.
