Weekend Update: September 26-28

The part of the ant continues around the Manor as we cut down about 60
stalks of corn for Joy to use as fall decoration around the exterior of
the house.  The pool amenities were stored in the chicken-coop-to-be-a-
bathhouse-next-year.  The only thing left in the pool garden is to move
a big bush when its leaves have fallen.  Believe it or not, we harvested
perhaps another 2 quarts of blueberries, too.  Last week, Joy took it
easier making grape jelly from the seedless concord grapes, and this week
will attempt a crab apple jelly recipe.  I've rewired the bathroom
baseboard heater three times now without success.  I have one more
configuration to go.  I'm not popping the circuit breaker anymore! ;-)

We've begun to season the wood stove, too, and it's a real crowd pleaser.
We've only bought 1 cord of wood so far, but we'll need at least one or
two more for the winter burning.

We went yard saling on Saturday and got some real bargains.  Joy found
not a few pieces of Yorkshire pattern Pfalsgraf dishes to compliment and
replace some of the ones we already have.  I found some fireplace tongs.

Joy has shown no improvement in the health area.  We're giving it to
the end of this week and will talk with her physician again and see
what needs to happen.  She is determined not to let this ruin her time
in California.  I hope she is right.
