Weekend Update: After the Flu

I'm back in the saddle here at work, although recovery will take a
few more days.  I missed out on Russ and Nancy's anniversary (hope it
went well).  I'm concerned about my California friends and all the
rain they've gotten from El Nino.  New England and Texas seems to be
having mild winters so far.

I did catch up on the Clampets (of Beverly Hills) and the Taylors
(of Mayberry) as I flipped through a sea of television all week.
And I also discovered who Jerry Springer is for the first time, though
I could have done without that.

I also discovered that it is easier to be sick if your spouse is sick
with you because you don't get left alone too often.  And I'm thankful
that it wasn't half as bad as Malawi Malaria (which my friend Ramby
can attest to).

I was happy to get reports from some of you in response to my request
and wouldn't mind some more.  I've got a couple of hundred emails
to wade through (today's chore).  Nice to see you again!
