>From yesterday's weekend update:

Pepperell, the speck on the map, has an excellent band
program.  It's *beginner* band has about 150 members!  The Jazz band,
which is made up of 6th, 7th and 8th graders, rival most high school
jazz bands and it is the goal to which the beginner band aspires (4th
and 5th grades).  The band director in town has the closest thing to
job security there is in the public school system.

We were informed last night that the band director's son was struck
and killed by a car yesterday.  The band director (Mr. Tellier) was
taken to the hospital to be treated for shock.  The boy was in third
or fourth grade.  That's all I know at the moment.  If you're the
praying kind of person, pray for the Tellier family... and the town
of Pepperell.
