Subject: Weekend Update: October 22-25 Date: Mon 10/26/98 8:38am Joy and I attended an estate auction on Thursday; our first in a long time. It was on the Chelmsford-Westford border and we think the towns of Carlaisle and Lincoln were also represented because we knew immediately that we were out of our league. They had terrific furniture there that went for terrifically high prices. We window-shopped that evening but stayed long enough to get a "fix" on an auction. With the cool weather approaching, perhaps there will be more opportunities to shop the Junque-n-Treasure Bijous; farther north. Joy purchased a new dishwasher and I took bread and butter off my plumber's table (sorry Trish) by installing it myself. It should be easy enough to take out one and replace it with another. Shortening the story, I asked Andrew to watch my water connection while I gently turned the water on. Three or four attempts later, Andrew wasn't getting sprayed or dripped on. Who knows, I may still give Mark a call in a few days if something breaks. (I had no pipes to sweat so I felt I could do it.) We had another banner weekend in New England, weatherwise and including the guests at the Manor on Saturday and Sunday. Over the past week, I think I began to understand the difference between 6 and 5+1; a steadily increasing realization of the new family model. Miranda visited friends in Maryland this weekend. I have already received one report, but await her report. (I sent email to Tim Linton at ENC, assigning him with the mission to tell Miranda to call her father whenever he saw her until she said that she HAD and not that she will. Apparently, Tim has delegated his mission to his own email distribution lists.) She's a busy young woman, I know. I hope things are going well with you these days.
