Anna and John died the same year that Mary passed on. My grandfather then
married the second daughter of Anna and John Brandow, Julia, my grandmother."
John Brandow is apparently the son of Peter and Annatje (Bogardus) Brandow,

the daughter of Jacob and Maria Bogardus).

were witnesses or sponsors at a baptism in the same church (as they were
married in), 10/10/1790 - 'Johannes, born 10/3/1790, son of John W. Groesbeck
and Annatje Devenport.'" (Ref. NY -63 -55) If this is correct, it sounds
to me like Annatje was the mother. Perhaps Richard had died and she remarried
John Groesbeck. Either that or perhaps Richard had a sister named Annetje
who married a John Groesbeck.
