The following item appeared in the Schaghticoke news: "Charles L. Van Woert died in Brooklyn, NY, February 19, 1929 at the age of 49 years. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. James V. Sickles of Avon - by - the - Sea."
Charles L. Jr. is the beneficiary in a will made by Justus H. Adkins of the town of Pittstown (relationship not stated), found in the Rensselaer County Clerk's Office, Troy, NY, Book 2, page 29, dated 1/17/1895.
Charles is listed as a child of Charles L. Van Woert in his will found in the Rensselaer Co. Surrogate's Office. At the time of his father's death, Charles Jr. is single, 28 years old, and living in Johnsonville, NY.
