George A. Van Woert, the son of Lebbeus B.
Van Woert and Irene Amelia Grinnell, was born Septmeber 18, 1870. He married
Grace M. Slate and lived in Gridleyville, N.Y. postoffice address Wilseyville,
N.Y. They had no children. (N.Y. vol 51, p. 359)
The following records were found in the Tioga County Clerk's office, Owego, NY.Liber 155, p. 290 - Charles G. Carter & Lois Carter, his wife of Owego, grantor - George Van Woert of the Town of Candor, grantee - Sum of $1.00 - Date: November 29, 1910 - Property situated in the Town of Candor, the same premises conveyed to John J. dean by deed dated March 15, 1864 by Horace Booth & wife & conveyed to the said Carter by referee J.S. Gross, August 20, 1892.
Liber 172, p. 337 & 338 - Date: April 12, 1919 - George Van Woert & Grace M. Van Woert, his wife of the Town of Candor, grantor - Irene Amelia Van Woert of the Town of Candor, grantee - Sum of $1.00 - Property situated in the Town of Candor, conveyed to the said George Van Woert by deed of Charles G. Carter & Lois Carter his wife on November 28, 1910.
