Hendrik, the son of Andries Van Woerdt and Elisabeth Van Der Werken was baptized March 29, 1747 in the Reformed Dutch Church, Albany, N. Y. He married Catharina Aights (Eights) August 6, 1773.
Henry Van Woert served as Regimental quartermaster under Colonel Van Schaick in the Continental Army, New York Line, Second Regiment, (Albany Regiment) from the 30th of June 1775 to March 1776. His Revolutionary War service was good.

In the United States census of 1790 the following record was found:
"Henry Van Woert was living in the first ward, Albany City and County and had in his family, one free white male of 16 years and upward including heads of families; 3 free white males under 16 yrs. of age; 2 free white females including heads of families."

Henry Van Woert placed, a claim for a grant of bounty land for war services dated June 1, 1790.

Henry Van Woert, Lieut., First Regiment, received military bounty land. July 9, 1790. Lots No. 76 in No. 22 Township which was called Ulysses No. 22 and located along the southern border of New York State and probably was in Tioga or Tompkin County. Henry Van Woert, Lieut. delivered his patent, for land in the military tract, to Matthew Trotter for Samuel Stringer.

Henry Van Woert, Lieut., received. Lot No. 9. in the Cato, No. 3 Township which is north of Cayuga Lake, New York State, and probably in the present Cayuga County. This patent was part of his share in the military bounty land as a result of services in the American Revolutionary War. It is recorded as follows: "Van Wort, Henry, 1st Reg., 3 Township, Lots 9, acres 600 - date July 9, 1790."

The following abstract was found in Fernow's Calendar of Wills, #1952: Made in 1798, October 6 and proved 1815 Aug. 18, "Van Woert, Henry, of the Albany City. Wife Catherine. Children: Elizabeth; Henry; William and Catherine. Real and personal estate, executors bro-in-law Abraham Eights and Gerrit W. Van Schaick. Witnesses James LaGrange, John I. Wendell and John W. Yates. Recorded ut supra p.85

The following burials were made in the Reformed Protestant Dutch Churchyard, which was located where the present Capitol Park is in Albany, N. Y. These bodies were eventually removed and re-interred in the Albany Reformed Church plot, in the Albany Rural Cemetery, Troy Road, Albany, N.Y.:
"Henry Van Wie, an old Revolutionary officer, died February 5, 1813, aged 65 years and 10 months."
