Lebbeus B., the son of Peter (Petrus) Van Woert and Permila Tippett, was born in Tioga County, December 12, 1833. He lived in Gridleyville(homestead placement per 1869 map) near Willseyville, Town of Candor, County of Tioga, State of New York. He married Irene Amelia Grinnell and died December 24, 1898.
