Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker

INTRODUCTION
My uncle "Buster" Milam was driving home late one night on the "Old Houston Highway", east of Hempstead, Texas, when he spotted a mule laying in the road. A little further down, there was a car in the ditch on the side of the road. Buster stopped to see if anyone needed help and started shining the car's spotlight around. Of course most cars, with spotlights, in those days were police cars. But, Buster probably hadn't thought of that until the gunshots begin sounding from the car in the ditch. For the next few minutes Buster drove his car from the floorboard instead of the seat. The infamous pair of bank robbers, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, didn't like being in the spotlight.
