The good old days when there wasn't any jobs, any money or any way to buy the necessities of life and many people had to stand in long lines for handouts. Then, along came President Franklin D. Roosevelt with the CCC, the WPA and the NRA.

Letters From Uncle Bill
My wife inherited a small, very old cardboard box from her grandmother. Inside, among the other letters written in the 1920's and 30's were 34 letters and "penny post cards" dating from 1933 and 1934 that were from her son Bill, who was in the C.C.C.. A few of them are included here to show how it was.
