Opportunities Available:

If there is something you would like to see in the upcoming Official CROLF Quarterly, feel free to suggest and even write up a story item. Submit to Jeanette S. or Henry R. The next edition is planned for October, 2000. If you have an idea of an upcoming event, feel free to express your idea(s) to any other Current Official CROLF members. All seem to be open to hear these suggestions.

Updates During the Quarter:

The lowest score made during last quarter, was made by Henry R. His score was 32 and he made this score on May 28. The highest score was made by Melissa. Her score was 126 and was made on June 3. Congratulations to Henry. Melissa, your CROLF score average have really improved throughout this quarter. Keep up the improvement with practice, practice, and more practice!

We are still waiting for a teenager to get a hole-in-one and join in the Hole-in-One Club. Could it be you? A very special notation to be made is that Henry R. made two holes-in-one during the same game. The game was played on June 18. This is a new challenge to all who play CROLF. Good luck to us all, I think we are going to need it to match this goal!

Announcing, New T's!

Scott T. joined the Hole-in-One Club and he found a great looking white Tee Shirt. Several of the Official CROLF Members discussed this T and it was decided to iron on our logo and paint the Hole-in-One logo onto the shirt. Our original T-shirts will continue to be updated as hole-in-ones are made. Each hole-in-one on both shirts are just a duplicate to keep the shirts updated as each shirt is worn. Thanks to Scott for finding this great find! We will surely feel more cooler as the weather gets warmer!

EXPOSURE?!

Steve S., CROLF Marketing Manager, has been working on media exposure. An e-mail has been sent out to Channels 4, 5, and 9. The Daily Oklahoman also received the e-mail. The e-mail informs the media about CROLF and an invitation was made to them to visit during the Second Annual CROLF Invitational Tournament. We look forward to seeing them there!

Steve's Corner

The most important aspect of CROLF, is plain and simply put, Common Courtesy. There are technical rules that we play by and there are rules in which we live by. Some of the technical rules will be revised from time to time as conditions warrant. I would like to focus on the rules to live by or at least how they affect the game of CROLF. While most people have heard the term "Golden Rule". From Jesus to Buddha, there are as many versions of this "Golden Rule" as there are religions. While I may not play on the same CROLF field as Jesus or Buddha, I thought I would put together a couple of my own "Golden Rules of CROLF".

1. Treat your mallet as an extension of yourself. Our mallets are made of LOVE and WOOD, and both are fragile.
2. Treat your competitor as you would like to treated. After all, the most important opponent you ever will play is yourself.
3. Treat all who play CROLF with respect and courtesy. People are the most important part of the game. Without people, the game would not exist.

This is the first of my newsletter editorials, your comment's are welcome. This is not directed at anything or anyone, but I think it applies to all.
