John Pullen enlisted at Attleboro Mass., as private in Capt. Enoch Robinson's
co. 12 aug 1779, served until 11 sept 1779. He was also in list of men raised
to enenforce the Continental Army for 6 months, 11 June 1780, age 17 years. Jan
1781: also in army from Bristol County, 24 June 1781, served for the town of
Attleboro. He moved from Winthrop to waterville in 1802 and died there in 1810.

Comber, (may have had brother Richard Pullen, Innholder, Boston.in Bristol
county deeds vol XIII p.395) He died intestate
before 24 june 1723, on which date date his inventory was presented in court.
He was sick in Marblehead just before his dealth, as shown by the items in the
account of the administratrix. On 26 Aug 1721 Ebenezer Lyon of Rehoboth,
Cordwainer, for L180 sold to Nicholas Pullen, of Rehoboth, Worsted
comber, "all That my house lott lying & being in the Northwesterly side of the
ring of Ye Greene, so called, Scituate in sd Rehoboth, containing Twelve acres
... bound Southerly with the town commons or said Ring of Greene: easterly with
the Land of Thomas Cooper: northerly with a highway; westerly with the land of
Ebenezer Bishop and John Bishop, which was formerly Stephen Paine,Sen, together
with a dwelling house and barn standing upon said lott of land".
The same day nicholas Pullen mortgaged the above tract of land back to Ebenezer
Lyon for L150 providing that the L150 be paid before 1 April next, and L20 be
paid before 15 Aug next, etc. Nicholas Pullen signed with a mark, and his wife
Mary, signed with a mark. Witnesses: Daniel Carpenter and Prudence Gay (Bristol
County Deeds, Vol XIV, p.144)
At the Rehoboth town meeting 2 JUl 1722, Nicholas "Pulling" was one of four men
chosen to serve on the Jury of Trials to be held at Bristol the 2nd tuesday of
July next.
On 24 June 1923 the Inventory of the Real and Personal Estate of Nicholas
Pullen, late of Rehoboth, Deceased, was presented to the court. Total L239 13s
of which 180 represented " a house & Land" (Bristol County Probate records, Vol
IV, p.203)
Nicholas Campe testifed at Newport, 14 aug 1723, that he passed two counterfeit
L5 Colony of Rhode Island bills to Nicholas Pullen, and that he "paid them away
to Ebenezer Lyon of the Coloney of Connecticut. and that these bills were made
by Mary (Peck) Butterworth."
