Note for:   Merithue,   BEF 1760 -

Source: Family history "Larrabee Vanette" By Marion Robinson Rideout
says that Ann was born and raised in Prospect Maine. She had 3
sisters and 1 Brother in the family.she was born about 1790.
There is Only 1 Merithew in the 1790 Census. He is in Frankford, Hancock co
Maine. Rodger Merithew 1 m 16 and over 2 m under 16 4 females
This would have been what Prospect was called in 1790.
The 1800 census has 2 Merithew's in Maine- Rodger and William. Both in the
Frankford. Hancock co.Maine. Rodger pg 423 21101-20110-00, Wm 21001-41010-00.
I believe one is her Father and the other Could be her uncle?
I found no listing for a Merithew in 1810. Ann was married by this time.
I found in the 1820 a listing for Rodger Merithew in Vinalhav. Hancock co. pg
661. Also a Benjamin and Aaron on Deer Isle Hancock Co. pg 602.
Follow up on Benjamin in the book Historical sketch of the town of Deer Isle,
Maine. Benjamin was the son of Roger Merithew who lived on Babbidgre's Island
by (frankford). He later moved to Vanal Haven, and Married a Miss sarah Coombs.
Found 3/23/95 two Roger Merithews in the Ancestral file. Wrote to submitter.

Note for:   William Merithue,   ABT 1800 -

Virtal records of Prospect are not for the year that Ann & her brothers and
sister's were born. But there is only a hand full of Merithews in Prospect &
William 2nd-seams to fit the description of the missing Brother.
William2nd probley is the son of William, son of Jerimiah twin of Rodger
Merithew. History of Morrill, Maine said Rodger left Nova Scosha so he would
not have to take the loalty oeth during the Revalutionary war.
