John and his wife Ruth,probably came from Nottingham, N.H. and settled in
winthrop in 1792, in the southwest part of town, at or near "Harvey's Corner" .
Here he lived until the dealth of his wife, shortly after which he left town.
One child born in Winthrop.
Note: Samuel Harvey came to Winthrop in 1797, with a wife and 2 children. His
wife was mehitable Ladd b. 1777 and d. 31 aug 1829. She is buried in Haskell
Cemetery. Chilren Martha b. ____________; m. 1816, Warren Folsom of Mt. Vernon.
John b. about 1797: married Sophia Norris and had 9 children.
Abigail b. 23 April 1799; m. 1820 Freeman Dexter Jr.
Mehitable b. 3 may 1801 ;m. 1834, Samuel R. Varnum of Temple.
Note: can John be the father of Francis? or brother? what ? Farncis P. Harvey
is in Winthrop in 1807.

Marden Foss and his wife Amey are in the Greeley Cemetary with William foss
and Mary Foss Pennington.
This is why I believe that she is Their mother Father.
"Amey his wife d. Aug 22, 1855. age 66 yrs 4 months 14 days."
