Marriage information from(Pension Application for Sarah 1844)
The Cememony was performed at Poplin, now Fremont, N.H. by Rev. Dr. Samuel
Shepard, a pioneer Baptist Preacher of great note. After their Marriage they
resided for manny years in Nottingham, N.H. moved later to Maine. They resided
in Monmouth, Winthrop, Dutton(now Glenburn) and Bradford.
Dealth information from Stone in Task Cemetery reads: Harvey Major James, d.
Apr 10 1844 ae 81 - 8 mon. Cemetery is approximately one mile after the
Hudson- Bradford town line."Notes on Harvey Family of New Hampshire" by George
Harvey December 1975
Pension records say that James servied with some interuption from Sept 1777
to the end of the war. Going from rank pVT. to Sargent.
The title Major probley came form service in the Maine State Militia when he
lived in Monmouth.He lived in Nottingham, N.H. untill abt 1793. Then moving to
Monmouth, Maine staying there until abt 1805.Serving as Deputy Sheriff and
Town Treasure. Leaving after a court cases accusing him as defaulting
treasurer. He then rem to Dutton (Now Glenburn,Me) and later to Bradford,me.

Census in Maine 1790 has 1 James Harvey . He is in York co, Maine. pg 68.

1810 Maine Census has a James Harvey pg 614 in Hancock co. Twp 1 ,3rd Range.
