This Cerifies Mr. Edward E. Larabee of Swansville and Miss Laura A. Small of
Waldo Intend Marriage Swansville Apr. 9th 1872. A.J. Nickerson, Town Clerk.
Laura is in the 1880 Census as a Widow.Her Brother is living with her. She has
only the older two children also.

Land Deeds for Penobscot County 1844- 1859 has a Listing for Christopher
Pennington selling land in Garland in 1849 .
By 1849 Mary and Christopher are living in garland, where all children are
born. Christopher was made an American citizen Oct. 24, 1856.
Christopher died of wounds inflected in the Civil war.
Census information 1850 has a Mary A Foss living in Garland, penob co. pg 141.
(there is no listing for a Christopher Pennington. Where is He). Do a Line by
Line In Sangerville.

Can't find on 1850 Census- but there is a Mary Foss (same age) in Garland
Maine.

Source: Widows Penson from U.S. Army: Pention Gives dates for Birth of
children also letter from Garland Town clerk with childrens birth dates. But
there is also a letter from the clerk of Levant, Maine saying that there was
no record of their marriage . Their is a letter from John and Marden Foss
saying that they wittnessed the Wedding of Mary Foss and Christopher
Pennington.
