Have you "put on Christ" and are you "hidden in Him by grace" or have YOU unwittingly, even unknowingly been deceived, misled or misinformed? We are called to "put on Christ". Adam cannot be "like God" (he cannot be "like Jesus") but is instead called to be slain, reckoned as dead and "hid together with Christ in God".���So why are YOU taught that YOU are supposed to become "like Jesus" by the empowerment of man to become God-like? -to become LIKE Jesus?
Let us examine whether or not the gospel you have been taugth is/has been somewhat tainted. See if the focus has been shifted "just a tad" so that having been leavened with a little leaven, instead of teaching Christians that we are to be hid in Him who is God (by the grace of God) endued with HIM WHO IS THE POWER OF GOD (Jesus Christ) so that "BY HIM" and IN HIM"(by His grace) YOU might be "hid in Christ" who is Himself the only begotten of the Father, "conformed to His image" (by being hid in HIM & by HIM as "dust & ashes" member of HIS body) -not becoming like Him but hid in Him and by Him, who stands in our place, as the Second Man (in whom we, adam, must be hid!).
How does God enable "us" to do all things "through Christ"? because it is no longer "us" but Jesus Christ instead! Why then all the malarkey about how we need to be "like" Jesus?
Instead of us "empowered to be" LIKE Him, we need to be asking Him to hide us "in Him" Instead of us asking God to make us "more like Jesus" (misleading religious nonsense) we ought to be asking "Jesus to be Jesus" for us, in our place! (News Flash?) "All of Him and none of us" by Him who is the power of God! in Him who is God! (by Jesus Christ who is Himself the POWER of God, (see 1Cor.1:24kjv)
"Me, Myself, or I" am not called "to learn how to become a GOOD CHRISTIAN" This business about us striving to be "like Jesus" by the empowerment of our will is a part of a religious package that has become a "how to exercise" in futility: a religious substitute for the work of God which He (by His Spirit) gave us Jesus Christ via His Cross: by which & in whom -you are a "dead man" (alive only to Christ) slain and hid in Him, risen with Him to become a member of His body by the spirit of adoption. The key however is if you are "in Christ" then it is NO LONGER YOU BUT RATHER CHRIST "in you" (in your place, on your behalf).
What does it really mean to be "in Him" -a member of His body?���Are YOU (Adam) now made powerful by the power of God or are you not really replaced (according to the mystery of the Gospel) by "Christ, in us" the "hope of glory"?���If you are following an "other gospel" (a bastardized form of the Gospel) that teaches YOU that YOU (adam) are supposedly the empowered new man,to "be all the YOU can be" which is the "humanist manifesto" disguised as the gospel. You have in fact become a "christian" HUMANIST who -if you are a believer, have in fact, "FALLEN FROM GRACE" (Gal.5:4)
Many have been "beguiled as Eve was beguiled" (as Paul the Apostle feared would occur in the Last Days)��� Many have become "bewitched" like foolish Galatians!
Consider carefully and prayerfully: As the result of the unintentional return
to "dead works" -i.e., due to the many winds of false doctrine (Gal. 3:1-3) in the
churches, and do not discount this question just because it offends you. Are
you or are you not trying to "be like the Most High God"? (You say of course,
No!) But Aren't you striving to "be LIKE Jesus"? -isnt't that your goal? the mark for which you aim?���Isn't it your goal for you (Adam) to be
"like Jesus"? But you say, "it is "by grace" and not by my own strength, yet you are taught
that by the power of God through Christ "I am transformed" to be "like Jesus"
It sounds great, except for one thing: it is not the goal of God to make YOU
(Adam) LIKE JESUS!���His purpose is instead to count YOU "as dead"
(SLAIN "in Christ") and to HIDE you "in Him" and "by Him" who ALONE is "the
express image of the Father" (i.e., in & by Jesus Christ!)��You (Adam) are
NOT called to become "like" Jesus but instead you are to be hid in Him!��
�You & I (adam, mortal man) are called to repent "in Christ" -to be
"clothed with Christ" hidden in Him and by Him who alone is like God
(because He is God.)���Jesus Christ Himself is the only
"likeness" of God that is not false! Anything else is man's own false image or
counterfeit-Christ-likeness!
Lest you discover too late to your great dismay AND absolute horror that you are "the man" who is found without the PROPER wedding garment at His feast, it is imperative that you understand the difference between being "HIDDEN IN HIM" by grace as opposed to "TRYING TO BE LIKE HIM" by what man calls the p-o-w-e-r of God.���"MAN" trying to be "like God" -even man trying to be "like Jesus" &/or man trying to PERFECT "SELF" BY ANY POWER IS HUMANISM!���MAN becoming his own god or MAN-LIKE-GOD is all the same to God; it is still humanism!���Perfecting our inner "self" by ANY power is HUMANISM! HUMANISM is the BABYLONIAN GARMENT, not our wedding garment! Christians are to "put on Christ" (by faith) and be "clothed with Christ" (by grace) slain IN HIM & hid BY HIM who is Himself OUR covering!
Our vain attempts at promise-keeping "godliness" by the so-called empowerment of man's will is still humanism! Jesus is our robe of Righteousness! HE is the only acceptable wedding garment! Our "wedding garment" is HIS Holiness, not OURS! HIS Righteousness, not OURS. HIS Goodness, not OURS! Obedience is of Him, by Him, by His Obedience, not OURS! Godliness of Him & by Him, His Godliness, not OURS! CHRISTIANITY IS NOT about "WHO WE ARE" in Christ OR being "all we can be" for God!���It is about who CHRIST IS "in us" and "for us" in OUR place! Christianity is NOT about OUR/MAN'S personal empowerment!
In 2Cor.4:7 it is written: "But we have this treasure
(Jesus Christ) in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power
(Jesus Himself) may be "of God," and not "of us" (parenthesis, "'s and underlining added for emphasis)���The whole point is that we have lost sight of WHO becomes the "operative person".��In the gospel you have been
taught, have YOU become the "empowered person"? or is Jesus Christ, the power of
God by whom and in whom it is NO LONGER you, not by you, nor about you?���
Is the focus ON YOU, on knowing WHO YOU are? on knowing what YOU can become?���
Shouldn't it be all about HIM? and who HE is? instead of about what He has done to empower or enable YOU?
IS it the Gospel of MAN in Christ, or is it the Gospel of Jesus Christ? in whom & by whom man is hid?���Is YOUR gospel about Jesus Christ? Is He THE PERSON & The Power, instead of our counterfeit "Christ-like-ness" of man?���Our "imitation of Christ" is humanist-Christ-likeness and it absolutely REEKS as a stench in the nostrils of God!���Our only acceptable imitation of Christ is to receive Him, to be hid in Him who is the Image of God.��After we have received Him by grace through the faith of Jesus, then from that point on, it is not "us imitating" or trying to BE LIKE Him but it actually becomes HIM who now stands in OUR place. GOD HIMSELF now "works the works" for us BY CHRIST in us.���It is in this manner that we are "imitators of Christ" in the sense that we "rest as HE rested" in the Father trusting the Father to work the works by His Spirit on our behalf: we are called to imitate "His resting in the Father"!���"Whatsoever things you ask in My Name, I will do it" we are to ask Him (The Father) to grant us "rest in Him" (through Christ) who has become our "all and in all" on behalf of all who receive Him.���Not our "Christ-like-ness" but Christ in us, in our place, on our behalf!���(I say it often because it bears repeating!)
Holiness & godliness are attributes of God, in the person of Jesus Christ who is Holiness! who attributes holiness to us IN CHRIST -how? by God in & through Jesus Christ who stands IN OUR PLACE as our "holiness unto the Lord" (holiness which is by AND in Him Alone!)���Our methods of holiness, piety & righteousness, including our false "Christ-like-ness" are false, a form of godliness, a "counterfeit christ" -man's idolatrous "false God" the supposedly god-enabled, god-powered-god-like-Self!��HUMANISM & IDOLATRY OF MIND!��We like to count ourselves as faithful as WE strive to be faithful thinking it is scriptural in our own understanding of what we think the scripture means.��The truth is the only Way "we" (man/adam) can be found faithful is to be found "in Him" who alone is Faithful!���He ALONE is called "Faithful & True" -not us:we are NOT faithful, He is!���(Let me repeat that!) The only way WE can be "found faithful" is to be hid "in Him" who alone is called Faithful & True!
WE are not the Spiritual New Man, Jesus is! (see 1 Cor.15:47) By the spirit of adoption WE are counted by grace as members of Him who is Himself the New Man, we are reckoned as "dead & our life hid" in Him who is the Spiritual New Man: the Lord Jesus Christ!��The LORD is GOD!���He has said in His word, There is NONE LIKE Me, nor will ever there be!
Man's so-called scriptural empowerment of man to be Christ-like is the SAME LIE of the Garden of Eden revisited on us!��Just as Jesus Himself, and Paul the Apostle warned, Satan HAS deceived the elect of God! The CHURCH HAS been beguiled AS EVE WAS BEGUILED by the SAME LIE (ye shall be as God!) The so-called God-ordained empowerment of man to become like-God is man's folly: man's attempt to be God-like, Christ-like or like-Jesus is vain. Satan has twisted the gospel of Jesus Christ to shift the emphasis off "CHRIST" in us, TO OUR false goal to become "who WE ARE in Christ"! Satan has deceived MAN into believing that MAN has been anointed, and called "in Christ" to be like the Most High God! Years ago the Lord told me that in His Sight there is NO DIFFERENCE between the LIE in the Churches (that YOU CAN BR Christ-like, or like Jesus!) and the original LIE in the garden of Eden (ye shall be as God)!���Christians ignorantly provoke God to wrath, trampling the Blood of the Son of God underfoot of men by seeking to be empowered to be like-Christ, to be like the Most High God! It grieves the LORD that we set ourselves up to fail by striving to be like Him.��It is a burden too heavy to be borne for MAN to try to be like God, especially since God has called man to repent of that very thing!
We/Adam are called to rest in the likeness of Him who is God! Get it right! God did NOT send His Son to die so WE COULD BE EMPOWERED to do it all! He died so we could be counted as dead/hid in Him that we might enter "into His rest" by grace through faith, into rest IN HIM who came to be our all and in all, on behalf of all, who receive Him! It grieves God when we pray amiss by asking Him to make "us able" (HE ALONE IS ABLE!) -it grieves Him when we ask Him to enable us instead of asking God Himself to work all things (for us) in Himself by the power OF HIM who Alone is Able (Are you seeing the diffence?) It's NOT US "in Christ" it IS "CHRIST" in us, i.e., in Him (God) in place of us. How? in, through & by Jesus Christ! Likewise it grieves the Lord when we ask Him to make us LIKE Jesus INSTEAD of just asking "JESUS TO BE JESUS" for us in our place! (Hello?) The heart cry of the Father is calling us to repent. Repent of what? (Most churches don't have a clue!) He is calling us to repent "of us" trying to reproduce Christ-like-ness!
He's calling us to REPENT OF CHRISTIAN HUMANISM, of idolatry of mind, of our own understanding as we persist in trying to be "like Him who is God". In so doing we are actually doing just like the Israelites did (who angered Him in the wilderness when they refused to trust Him to work the works, to be their all in all. There remains a rest to the people of God to enter into... cf. Heb.4:) He calls us to REST IN HIM who is God! We are NOT called to behavior modify & reshape Adam "in the image & likeness of God", Adam is called to repentance AND rest in the likeness of Him who is God, in the Last Adam, the Second Man, the Lord Himself! We are called to be hid in the likeness of Him who is Himself the express image of the Father! The CHURCHES are being called to REPENT OF OUR OWN ADULTERATION of God's Word! Repent of the FALSE GOSPEL of "Christianized Humanism"! Repent of our counterfeit Christ-like-ness, repent of our part in the APOSTASY of Christianity!
INIQUITY is not just sin. INIQUITY is when MAN appropriates the things of God (God's word &/or His power) unto man for man's use, for ex:like MAN trying to access or use the power of God's word to perfect himself to be Christ-like!
Jesus called the pharisees workers of iniquity, in their INIQUITY OF MAN trying TO BE HOLY,instead of slain by and hid IN HIM WHO IS OUR HOLINESS!���We are called to rest in HimWHO" HE GAVE US! The Lord also told me, HOLINESS is not a what, "Holiness" is a Who! Jesus Christ is our Holiness! Many are perverting the current move of God (by which God Himself is calling the churches to repent) -men are turning that move into a corrupt personal empowerment revival, "rejoicing in the gifts", doing "many wonderful things in His Name" (just as Jesus said would happen.) Jesus Himself warned, He will say to MANY: (even though) YOU prophesied "in My Name", -(even though) YOU CAST OUT demons "IN MY NAME", -(even though) YOU DID many wonderful works "IN MY NAME", (even healing multitudes!) "I will profess to them, I never knew you, depart from me ye that work INIQUITY. The personal empowerment of man is humanism which is being taught in the churches DISGUISED AS the gospel of Jesus Christ!
"I can do all things THROUGH CHRIST who strengthens me" means: all things are done BY GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, NOT ME! "I live, nevertheless NOT I, BUT CHRIST" means just that! "Not I, but CHRIST!" None of me, all of Thee! Jesus Christ came to be "the empowered person" IN PLACE OF YOU,-NOT TO EMPOWER "YOU"! If you are being taught that YOU HAVE POWER to achieve YOUR Christ-like potential, if you are seeking God to EMPOWER YOU to be Christ-like, then REPENT because THAT IS "Christianized Humanism"!
The Spirit of Grace is the person of the Holy Spirit, NOT an energy or force! The POWER of God is NOT a "WHAT", the POWER of God is "Jesus Christ"! ALL THE POWER, GLORY, HONOR & PRAISE ARE HIS!
Many are doing seemingly "great things" in these last days, many thrill at the POWER & marvel at signs & wonders. Many are lured, seduced by Christ-like-empowerment, led astray by false teachers, by self-willed "sons of Hezekiah" who have supplanted the truth by substituting an idolatrous vainglorious man-centered gospel which focuses on "who WE ARE in Christ". Many have chosen the snare of the fowler preferring the deceitful kisses & seductive flattery of the enemy instead of the word of the Lord IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH. Many today have itching ears preferring positive-only prophecy. Many are rejoicing in the gifts THINKING THEY are called to prosper themselves in the desires (lusts) of their hearts. Many are striving to achieve THEIR so-called Christ-like human potential, striving for human perfection as "grace-powered-sons-of-God"!
Jesus warned: "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but He that doeth the will of my Father in heaven." (His will is for us to be slain by Him & hid in Him!) Jesus warned, "Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have WE not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Mt.7:21-23)
Servants of God sent to the Churches are being patronized & mocked, beaten by those who are inebriated with knowledge, drunk with power, totally enamored with the gifts.
The "word of the Lord" TO REPENT and WARNINGS INTENDED BY GOD TO TURN HIS PEOPLE FROM ERROR & DECEPTIVE DEVICES OF THE ENEMY are being ignored, despised AND even utterly REJECTED "IN THE NAME OF THE LORD" by those WHO CLAIM to know Him best, BY HIS OWN people who STUBBORNLY refuse to hear what the Spirit saith to the Churches! The kingdom of God is the rule of God by His Word (by Jesus Christ) in our hearts, not by our use of His word or who WE ARE in Christ.
