Simple Symbolism (Page Three)

Eight years ago, the Lord blessed us with a very healthy son. As the Lord asked us to name him "Joseph". Shortly after we arrived home from the hospital (after his birth) I sat in a wheelchair out in the front of our home with Joseph in my arms. I remembered what the Lord had told me twenty-eight years ago about the 38 year old woman that He had shown me to be me, I realized that this was the first time that I had really had to use a wheelchair. As I looked toward the sky wondering about the ways of the Lord and what all these things could mean, the Lord directed me to go into the house and look up the Hebrew meaning of the name Joseph. Once back indoors, I found my concordance and looked up the meaning of "Joseph" -to my surprise I found that "Joseph" means: God will add or God will give another...

Nearly 30 years ago, when I had asked if the baby would live, He answered and said: "...and, I give her another..." In blessing, God has added and, He has given another...Joseph.

"And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life...And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance..." (Gen.45:4, 5, 7)

When the Lord first began to unfold this message (much of which is contained in the articles at this site) and when the Lord directed me to deliver/tell to the people what I had seen and heard from Him, I argued and complained that "I" could not possibly do what He had asked. I reminded the Lord that (at the time) "I" was only an inexperienced, ignorant new convert, just a baby Christian. I objected that I would have no credibility with either the church leadership or the people. I complained that I was not qualified (in the beginning I knew next to nothing about the Bible.) But the Lord said, "I will teach you".

I argued by saying that I had no title or position; I was not even an ordained minister etc...in fact, I was just a disabled housewife (who has not one but two handicapped children) I knew not that these things were according to His purpose that by foolish things, He would confound the wisdom of the wise.

I questioned His wisdom and told Him that no one would believe me. I thought I should at least go to Bible school, become an ordained minister, get a license; otherwise how could He possibly expect me to have any credibility in the churches, with the pastors or the people. The Lord's answer to all these complaints was simple and to the point: "With whom (where, -in whose eyes) do you want credibility, with them or in me?

With the question of "my" credibility settled, I then asked the Lord: "Ok, then. When they ask me, "What right do you have to say these things to us? AND when they say, "Who do you think you are that you can say these things!" What Lord, should I say to them? What do you want me to answer/tell them?" The Lord's answer was: "Tell them, you are the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make His paths straight..."

In the past fifteen years, the Lord has gradually removed everything that would establish my credibility in the eyes of man. By most church's definition I would be described as an "unsubmitted" rebellious, fanatical, church hopping backslider. My reputation is shot, I have been accused of being demonically inspired for preaching this message. My name has been slandered because of it.

In short, there is nothing about me that would lend itself to the credibility of this testimony. Happily the validity of this message does not rest in my denominational affiliation, nor in any ministerial certificate or theological degree, it does not rest in my good name (as judged in the eyes of men) nor does it rest in titles or positions ?neither in the church or in this world. This message rests solely "in the Lord" upon the basis of "His word" by His Spirit, in Spirit and in Truth.

Responses to this testimony will vary widely and will range from sheer outrage to polite apathetic applause. Many do not understand or discern the difference between what they perceive to be an attack against the church, or pastors etc, and what is instead an clarion call to repent and turn from those things (and devices of the enemy) which are at work in the churches to destroy them (and the leadership) from within.

Whenever prophecy is given, especially when the Spirit of the Lord God has seen fit to admonish, exhort or even rebuke His people, the message must be submitted to the mind of the Spirit of God, and not judged in the carnal mind of the flesh.

And when a word of correction, admonition, exhortation or even rebuke is given by the Spirit of the Lord, the last thing the Lord expects from us in response is our polite applause, He is not looking for praise either of the message nor for the messenger.

Applause once signified wholehearted agreement but clearly it no longer signifies what it once did. Today "praise and applause" is often only simply a momentary, conditioned carnal reflex response that lacks any real subsequent action. Agreement by applause -consent with no action has become a meaningless exterior expression that soon fades to apathy. And such pseudo-agreement like our polite applause is born out of "pseudo-spiritual" carnal minded complacency.

The Lord has told me repeatedly: although some will enthusiastically applaud the message, they will in fact not apply it. He has told me that their ears have they closed and with their eyes they will refuse to see. Many are so pleased with their church, pleased with their pastor and with themselves and the "knowledge they have"?and many are so pleased with the status quo, that though they give verbal agreement and give outward applause, yet they will not hear... "And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not. And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come, ) then shall they know that a prophet has been among them." Ezekiel 33: 32-33 KJV

Complacency and apathy aptly describes most of the Church. Many in the churches are quite happy with themselves and they like things just the way they are. Many may even go so far as to agree that some churches are apostate, just so long as all of this applies only TO THE CHURCH DOWN THE STREET.

We have often heard reference to the verse of scripture (found in 1Peter4:17) which tells us that the time is come that "judgment" begins in the house of the Lord. In our minds it applies quite automatically (and safely) to the church down the street but NOT to my church, my house, my ministry, or myself. As a result, FEW will give an ear to "hear" these words and fewer still will earnestly pray Jeremiah's prayer (along with me): "O Lord, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger" (Jer.10:24)

Psalm 19:7 tells us: "The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple." The testimony which you have read was written in an attempt to turn the hardened hearts (of God's own people) back to God. I pray that it will not be treated lightly as just another "testimony" and/or that it will not be casually consumed by "forgetful hearers." The message has not been written to solicit your approval or your applause; it was not written for the praise of men, it was written only for the glory of God. And God is has made it clear in His word that He is glorified only in our repentance, not by our applause.

Most of the people who read this will apply it to any church except their own and will be willing and will think it is meant to be applied to anyone other than themselves. I have been prepared by the Lord to expect that the many of "Christian" readers will be totally outraged by what they will "perceive to be" a blasphemous attack on THE CHURCH; in fact, according to scripture I can count on just such a reaction. I am confident that if a thing is of God, it will stand and if it is not, it will fall.

In the enmity of the flesh against the things of the spirit, many more will vehemently condemn me as an enemy of the church, as others have already done. And like I mentioned earlier, many will not submit this message to the mind, the counsel and the understanding of the Spirit of the Lord, but will most certainly instead "discern" in their own understanding in the mind of the flesh that the teachings contained herein are most assuredly "doctrines of demons." As a result many will label this messenger as Beelzebub's advocate.

Jesus spoke only those things which He had seen and heard from His Father yet He was condemned as a blasphemer by religious men. As a result of His blunt criticism and outright condemnation of a thoroughly corrupt religious system and rebuke of its' hypocritical leadership, Jesus Himself was nearly stoned, He was expelled from the synagogues, He was at times run out of town and He was eventually crucified.

Concerning the "scriptural accuracy or doctrinal purity" of His message: the best theologians and religious scholars of His day "discerned His message" in their own understanding and then labeled both the message and the Messenger Himself as having been sent straight from the pit of hell. Jesus therefore told His disciples, "It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?" (Mt.10:25) Since they called my Lord Jesus: Beelzebub, it is enough for me that the servant be as his Lord.
