Welcome To

"Willie's Story"

On the following pages you will read the real life stories of individuals who all have one very important thing in common..... Cerebral Palsy

Each of these individuals have opened their lives and their hearts so that others can learn what we already know..... cerebral palsy is not the end of the world. It is the beginning of a different world, a world where people must fight everyday for equality, acceptance, understanding and basic human rights.

This site was created with the hope that educating the general population about the condition of Cerebral Palsy would bring about an understanding and awareness and would help to open doors where once there were only walls. We do not ask for pity we ask only for understanding and open mindedness.
Please take the time to enter our world and read our stories...

"Where, after all, do universal rights begin?
        In small places, close to home - so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any maps of the world.
 Yet, they are the world of the individual person:
the neighborhood he lives in;
the school or college he attends;
the factory, farm, or office where he works.
   Such are the places where every man, woman, and child seeks equal justice, equal opportunity, equal dignity without discrimination.
 Unless these rights have meaning there,
they have little meaning anywhere."

-Eleanor Roosevelt, 1958
