This
is where it all began. October 23, 1974 my Mom and Dad got married.
Although they divorced not too long after I was born, I love them
both and have merged their qualities in the me I like to call Cindy.
I get my self-confidence and strength from my dad, and my sense of adventure
and open mind from mom.
The older man
in the photo is my late grandfather on my mom's side. I never had the chance
to meet him before he passed away in '91. The older woman is my great Aunt
on my mom's side. I never had the opportunity to meet her either, but I
have heard that she was a wonderful woman. While reflecting about
my relationship with my dad, I realized that at some point in my life,
he became my hero that can do no wrong. I have him on a pedestal and I
hope he remains there through my life.
Not too long after the wedding, there
I was. This is me at four months old. Actually this is the only photo of
my infancy that I am aware of. I wonder if Mom and Dad didn't have a camera...Hmmmmm...

Then, magically,
twenty years later I met and married the man of my dreams. We have two
beautiful children and a wonderful marriage. This December we will be reflecting
on five years. Just like any couple, we have been through our share of
difficult times, and I can say we are stronger for them. Michael Bolten's
ballad, "Once in a Lifetime" says it all.
These are my three
brothers, Andy, Lake, and
John. (I'm the youngest of us.) This photo was taken at Andy's wedding
in San Jose, California this past July. This was the first time in about
10 years that the three of them had been together. Considering that
they live in California, New York, and Alaska respectively its not a big
surprise that the weekend BBQ's are few and far between. Each of my brothers
have strengths on different ends of the spectrum from each other, but they
have each found career niches that match those strengths. Andy is in hotel
management, Lake is involved in interior design, and John has a career
in the U. S. Army.

These
are my two lifeblessings, Randy and Briauna. In this photo they are 4 and
7 years old.I can't imagine life without them. I write poetry, and after
my daughter was born I wrote one that reflected how new parents dream of
all the exciting times ahead, so for me, my children make a dream come
true everyday!
