PEACE

Peace is a way of life

'If I could teach the world to sing in perfect harmony ..." Harmony comes from mixing diversity with a unity of expression. In music a great diversity of voices and instruments gives the whole world the great variations and cultural expressions of music.

Harmony in music is an expression of what peace in our world could be like when the rich cultural diversity of the world is shared for the betterment of all humanity. Diversity with harmony enriches everyone of us.

Peace is harmony among people.

Peace is more than just the absence of war. It certainly includes freedom from strife or dissension. It is a state of being with tranquility and calm. In a world where strife is common and items of news are almost by definition instances of strife or disaster indicates that true peace among people is not recognised by many as being important.

Peace must be developed as a way of living.

Peace is a state of relationships
Peace begins with honesty. Peace among nations, neighbours, families.

Peace begins with honesty towards ourselves first as we recognise our own imperfections and how we have progressed since babyhood and how we were and sometimes how we wished we were treated.

Peace begins with honesty as each person recognises their own imperfections.

The next step is to forgive others as an act of mercy by someone big in heart. Peace requires honesty, mercy, boldness and humility.
