First Platoon, Fox Company, 2nd Bn Third Marines
Scout/Swimmers wash up on the beach.... ......move to covered and concealed positions.....
The Scout/Swimmer course is just one of three that were offered to Fox by the III MEF Special Operations Training Group to prepare them for their upcoming Amphibious Raid Package. The other two courses were Maritime Navigation and the Coxswain course. Upon the completion of these three schools, Fox now posesses all of the skills necessary to conduct amphibious raids. The Coxswains can drive the boats (when they don't run out of gas!) along a nautical track created by the navigators to a point 1100 meters from the Beach Landing Site. From there the Scout/Swimmers are delivered to the 500 meter mark, where they swim ashore and secure the beach. On their signal the Raid Force comes ashore and attacks the objective.

Our first week of the raid package has been absolutely decadent! The Company Gunny, SSgt Graves, has orders to recruiting duty. This will be his last field op in the Marine Corps and he is going out with a BANG! Tents, cots, lights, generators, hot chow twice a day.... Who can go back to sleeping in the mud? Add to all of that perfect weather, calm seas, and no walking and you have the makings of one of the best field ops ever!

....and wait for the Raid Force to arrive.
The opulence will be short-lived, however. In a few short weeks we are off to Pohang, South Korea for an assault climber package with the ROK Marines. That should prove to be somewhat more strenuous. As we get more pages available we will add some more pictures. The ones we have now will rotate as well, so keep checking back!
