Welcome to Texas

Jam's Bar

Texas . . . It's not just a state,
It's a whole new world!

Flag

Today's flag of Texas was first adopted in 1839 as the national flag of the Republic of Texas. As such, it is was the fourth of the Six National Flags of Texas. The flag was later adopted as the state flag when Texas became the 28th state in 1845. As with the flag of the United States, the blue stands for loyalty, the white represents strength, and the red is for bravery.

Meet your guide, Armey Armadillo ArmadilloArmey tells me you are person who has stumbled onto my page since May 19 1996!

Armadillos are cute armor-plated critters that roam the state. You'll mostly find them at night and early in the morning. They don't see well, so if you're driving please watch for them.

Animated bootsCountry music is naturally popular here in Texas, and one can usually find a live band playing at almost any club Across Texas or one of the many other "kicker bars"on the weekend.
